Lynn Musiol

Lynn Musion (she/her) explores her singular/collective/queer being in an Eastern European country as part of the project Dispersion.

DISPERSION

Csòkolom, my dear.

they said
let’s repaint the
rainbow colored
school fence
and replace
the monolith with
illuminating
male fishbowls

they said
you will
starve here

it’s a
farmhands land
you don’t
belong to

well,
I said,
mellow

pride was a
barking sheep
that day
but my backpack
is still here

later on
we looked
into strato-
spheres

I was born in
nineteeneightynine
the year you
drank democracy,
Istvàn

since then
Ajar
your
ceiling

         [reflections
            in-between land
               magma
                  magenta
                     acacias]

that saves you from
knowing yourself
here in
eastern Budapest.
